📯 New Preprint out 📣
Honestly, this started out as a side project that I had put on the back burner for a while. Then, I realized I could combine the original data with the data from our climate (dis)information sampling study, and found quite unexpected and cool results: doi.org/10.21203/rs....
1️⃣ We examine what shapes people’s decisions to adopt clean technologies (EVs, PV, heat pumps, & battery storage) & bring together evidence on how cognitive biases, personal & social motivations as well as broader contextual conditions (e.g., infrastructure & pricing) affect adoption. (2/4)
2️⃣ Understanding these factors is key to designing interventions that actually work. We discuss the most effective interventions—psychological or structural—for targeting the psychological and contextual determinants. (3/4)
