9/ This is an enormous reminder that eradication isn't permanent without continued investment. We eliminated screwworm. I said it last week and I'll say it again- keeping threats at bay requires funding, surveillance, expertise, and long-term commitment. Prevention only works when we keep doing it.
House Republicans just poured $70 billion more into Trump's mass deportation machine. That money could fund health care or feed the hungry. Instead, it will tear apart families and destroy lives. Every lawmaker who voted for it is responsible for the harm that follows.
