🫂 sending hugs Handing your manuscript to an editor can be very scary. I do have a blog on that if you ever want to read it. But my advice is to write something else while you wait and take it slow when you get it back. Take breaks and do some self-care, you are always in control of your writing.

To answer your original question, most indie authors ask around the community for editor recommendations. They also search up some that they may have seen online to research if they are a good fit. Other places are websites like the Editorial Freelance Association (EFA) listing/job board.
