The Cap city path is a few hundred feet away along Ohio Street from Atwood, and has an off street bike connection with wayfinding, and an RRFB crossing.
But that distance is 640 ft at Corry St.
Two very different levels of usefulness.
On ladder trucks:
A Pierce (US) 100’ ladder is ~46’9” in length. A Rosenbauer (EU) 105’ turntable ladder is 33’9”.
-13’ (28%) shorter
-5’ MORE reach
-articulates AROUND obstacles vs straight ladder
-Cheaper
-More nimble
-Faster setup
-Superior extraction for disabled or injured
Why track this?
Because it pisses me off when people hop on reddit or facebook and accuse the city of intentionally stopping drivers and oppressing them. Rather than check their expectations of being able to drive 40+mph and never stop over 7 miles through 20+ signals.
