Our book is officially out and there is even an audiobook version! Unfortunately, it’s not narrated by us, so you’ll miss out on our lovely Italian/French accents (a tragic loss for audiobook history).
Apparently, Amazon.fr has only three copies left: THANK YOU!

Problem is that it is extremely hard to get funding for cross species cognition and comparison of neural circuits across species emphasizing both similarities AND differences. Funding agencies incentivize "model system = human" claims and reviewers often hate on work in different model system.

🎉 My PhD work has just been published in @natcomms.nature.com!
How do we learn who caused what - and how much control we had - when outcomes depend on multiple people? We studied how humans do so using a new social learning task, computational modelling and fMRI.

A leading neuroscientist describes the long evolutionary process that led to the human brain
Team info
The primary aim of our team is understanding of how the human brain implements reward-guided decision making, learning and plans into the future. For this, we focus particularly on the role ...
There is little work on NHPs now. Instead almost all the work is on mice. I can understand that this can tell us about human metabolism. But cognition depends on complex neural circuitry. We need to know what cognitive capacities we share with mice and what capacities are unique to primates or us.
The prefrontal cortex has a central role in flexible behavior. Computations for weighing alternatives, committing to an option, integrating evidence, and abandoning an option are dominantly formalized...
