This painting of his is very good too! customprints.nga.gov/detail/47951...
Look, someone actually went on a walking expedition/journey to Metlife stadium and provided a more thorough documentation of the experience! It took about 6 hours to walk there from where they decided to start (Weehawken) www.nytimes.com/2026/06/07/o...

cc @ad-mastro.bsky.social you basically could have written this!! (if you had been in NJ to be able to try and walk there)
found a new (to me) podcast (to read transcripts of, which thankfully it has) https://www.hiddenbrain.org/
someone went to a golf course, collected some sand from a bunker, and then analyzed it under a microscope to observe its composition https://fredmhaynes.com/2020/04/10/golf-course-sand
is the current at a level where a person could realistically cross in a kayak or rowboat? it would be interesting if some intrepid entrepreneur decides to start an unsanctioned (probably) ferry service from Secaucus to Meadowlands in some kind of small boat
the description of the route is specific enough that I can generally piece together how they went. at first I thought it was overly circuitous, but they had to do it that way in order to reach a pedestrian crossing of the river.
however... it does begin to make me wonder if it is possible to row across the Hackensack River from Secaucus to Meadowlands. there are some riverfront parks on both shores which could have boat access for a kayak or rowboat of some sort...

Maybe I should buy a spherical cake pan. I kind of regret not buying the fancy holiday themed bundt pan I saw last year that had shapes of Christmas trees for the surface of the cake https://www.ebay.com/itm/392842457199
