is the current at a level where a person could realistically cross in a kayak or rowboat? it would be interesting if some intrepid entrepreneur decides to start an unsanctioned (probably) ferry service from Secaucus to Meadowlands in some kind of small boat
however... it does begin to make me wonder if it is possible to row across the Hackensack River from Secaucus to Meadowlands. there are some riverfront parks on both shores which could have boat access for a kayak or rowboat of some sort...
