Potentially. The CMA has called for a ban on it as well. But boxing has long had a body of humanist literature around it that gives it an air of legitimacy. MMA's aesthetics have always been fascist imo.

Personally, I don't think we should have ever legalized the brownshirt sport they call mixed martial arts. Canadian Medical Association tried to stop it, but all parties voted in favour in 2013.
