Remember "Night Call," the fifth season episode of 'The Twilight Zone'?
That was a Jacques Tourneur direction as well. Typically spooky from the gifted director. π
He was. Out of the Past IMHO the best of all noirs. He made even low-budget efforts like War Gods of the Deep interesting.
Hard to think of a better learning ground for cinematography than Black Narcissus.
Offering some advice for the day: Don't accept any slips of paper from this man! #FilmSky
I'm kinda neutral on Grease 2. There are worse movies. It has become something of a cult film these days and I know several people who are big fans. #filmsky

Until someone mentioned that yesterday, I was unaware!
My favorite horror movie.
Oddball in Kelly's Heroes may never be mentioned as one of Donald Sutherland's best performances...but his World War II hippie tanker is so memorable. And where was this line on AFI's 100 Quotes: "Always with the negative waves, Moriarty, always with the negative waves." #FilmSky

I fall on the negative side, but you're right there are far, far worse movies. The songs were good enough. It was devoid of stars like Travolta and Olivia Newton-John at the time, but certainly Michelle Pfeiffer would become one (and she was actually a bright spot). It just paled in comparison.
