i continue to feel all kindsa ways about this, in no small part coz i'm a lady of a certain age who rides a bike a lot and lives in west seattle. a friend texted me today coz she was worried this was ME. it was not me and it shouldn't have been this woman. we deserve safe bike infrastructure.
absolutely heartbreaking and preventable. we need big action taken towards Vision Zero across the whole city.

Completely gutting, infuriating news. Maridee was a longtime contributor to Seattle Gay News and helped build the city we have today -- documenting our history, standing up to violence, fighting AIDS. I'm so upset, and so angry.
She seems like an amazing person that should have had another 30 years

Here she is featured in a Seattle Times story participating in a trans rights rally at city hall just a few days ago.
