Maridee was a 76-year old Vashon Island resident who rides with Rainbow Riders and was in attendance at a trans-support rally at City Hall just last month, as highlighted in this article.
We've truly lost a great member of the community.

Yesterday's cyclist death here in the Fauntleroy neighborhood is horrific, but I hope it refocuses people on how obstructionist the FCA has been in improving safety for all in our neighborhood. They have clung to some unrealistic ideal that the ferry dock can just go away if they complain enough (1)
