Today we officially started our #iGEM2026 project!!! 🦠 We will try to utilize the S. 'boulardii' probiotic yeast as a chassis for antimicrobial peptide production. Follow for more details on our activities as we move forward with this year's challenges! #NCStateiGEMTeam #GoPack #NCSU

This work started as a side project during my PhD at the University of Debrecen in Hungary, but it evolved into a transatlantic collaboration with North Carolina State University @ncstate.bsky.social after I moved to the US for my postdoc. Truly an exciting journey! Glad to see it finally published!
