This, to me, has always been one of the underlying points of tension with AI supposedly being time-saving and useful (studies actually show it wastes time, in part because of all the errors). The “hallucinations” have already caused major problems for medical patients, lawyers, students, journalists
I suspect vibe coding will be plagued by the same issue as other forms of AI output, which is that it is guaranteed to contain a certain number of errors you can only catch if you’re actually paying attention and know what to look for
Etc etc. With vibe coding, which is something touted as a way for non-coders to be able to code, I suspect the code will inevitably contain errors that the non-coders will be unable to catch and fix.
