It takes SIXTEEN paragraphs for the New York Times to mention why the administration wanted to destroy nearly $10 million in contraception:
It's because they claim the stockpile of IUDs, birth control pills, and hormonal implants are “abortifacient birth control.”

This wasn't some random mistake: both the State Department and USAID called the contraceptives 'abortion'.
And when international groups tried to buy the stockpile so it wouldn’t be destroyed, the administration refused, citing the Global Gag Rule. A policy that prevents U.S. funding FOR ABORTION
