An underrated but important job for left movement workers is inside your state's legislative analyst office. I'm big on getting folks who think institutions are important into any of these type of bureaucratic roles and this one is especially niche yet pretty critical.
Back in the 70s, there was a group of radical anarchic drag performers in San Francisco called The Cockettes who ran around the city doing weird art. This line from a documentary about them goes a long way toward explaining why something like that was possible back then.
Would that someone would rip open the clear, clamshell container of my heart and grab my ramekin of dressing.
Will no one pick up my container, and shake it with an intensity and ferocity that forces the balsamic throughout, giving no quarter to the greens and the grilled chicken within?
