This is a great way for ICE agents to get absolutely wrecked by a bunch of swarming PFCs who know they have orders already printed and canβt really be controlled.

Agree with the caveat that active defense is also VERY important for limited wars. The political costs of causalities are pretty much always high enough to defend airbases.

This gets at the historical reality that βwarriorβ was often a class with attendant norms for how those within that class should be treated, even across cultures.
Hegseth, meanwhile, merely wants to exercise power, which is why violence against the weak or helpless suits his needs.
