Okay folks I've responded to the data center heat island paper. It is the worst study on AI and the environment I've ever read, by far. Thank you to @beijingpalmer.bsky.social for flagging. blog.andymasley.com/p/data-cente...
"Even an elaborate cheating scheme won’t be enough to deliver Orbán victory if the polls are correct." This is a big deal:
I think "the welfare state got substantially bigger during this period" should make the claim at least a *little* controversial.

I dunno I think neoliberalism’s grand plan of dismantling the welfare state and the social contract and replacing them, respectively, with nothing and nothing created a pretty fertile breeding ground for fascism and this isn’t even particularly controversial anymore.
