I think "the welfare state got substantially bigger during this period" should make the claim at least a *little* controversial.
Péter Magyar is a seemingly unstoppable force—but don’t expect the embattled Orbán to give up without a fight.
I dunno I think neoliberalism’s grand plan of dismantling the welfare state and the social contract and replacing them, respectively, with nothing and nothing created a pretty fertile breeding ground for fascism and this isn’t even particularly controversial anymore.
