Missiles will always beat interceptors, active defense is only worth doing in defense of very specific very valuable discrete point targets (of which ships are one category but airbases as a whole are not), and airfields aren't defendable but they are (very quickly) repairable

I dunno I think neoliberalism’s grand plan of dismantling the welfare state and the social contract and replacing them, respectively, with nothing and nothing created a pretty fertile breeding ground for fascism and this isn’t even particularly controversial anymore.
