Some lovely work from @ajlangridge.bsky.social here. I could whittle away an evening or two poking cubes into and out of exisitence. Pop, pop, pop!
For those interested: I'm thinking of sharing artwork I've created for projects (mostly for games) in the past and the present and also for what might be the future. The posts may dash around the timeline a bit but I'll try to explain each piece as I go.
Now to figure out what to start with...
‪Hello. I'm Paddy and I'm an artist/designer who's had the privilege to work in video games for over 20 years.
Since 2004 I've been scribbling, modeling and texturing my way through my career and I am now Co-founder of Upstream Arcade, making eye-catching, impactful action games.
Hey, look at this! We've released a demo for Echobreaker that's available over on Steam. If you have a moment please go and check it out. Much obliged!

...let's start with the Present:
Upstream's latest game is #Hellboy Web of Wyrd - we are so proud of this game
1/2 There was no need for concept art for the big guy but here is a paintover of his asset in Unity halfway through development
This was a visual target

2/2 The process:
In photoshop, start with a sceencapture of the ingame engine
Fix up the shadows on the ground
Sort out the tail (always in view)
Paint over the shadows on Hellboy's body
(1st post image) Add gradient, correct brightness and coloured bounce light in shadows
