Sorry for all the tears, I seem to have a branch in my eye.
Too disabled to have a pain specialist, not disabled enough for palliative care, no hospitals in my region equipped for my "complexity" so I always have to travel & no barriers exist for me to access track 2 or 1 of MAiD. Ah yes, this must be the autonomy that MAiD proponents are always speaking of.

Still raining, and Mr had to go to the hospital again today. That's a day and a half of missed work, which is terrible for us, financially.
If anyone has a buck or two to spare, we'd really appreciate it! Thank you, you're awesome!
I share a lot about my health/disabilities & what it's like navigating a crumbling healthcare system. Most of the time I just feel shame afterwards. But someone who survived a stroke & being placed on full life support from a covid infection reached out to let me know I help them feel less alone.
This is such a disaster and as usual, patients -especially from marginalized communities- pay the price. What gets added to a patient's chart has so many downstream impacts on nearly every aspect of their lives. It's not an exaggeration to say the consequences of this could be deadly.
