DISCLOSURE DAY: Emily Blunt is excellent in Spielberg’s odd, uneven & painfully lens-flared mix of conspiracy thriller, otherworldly spectacle & implausibly earnest, messianic fable. 2/3 great, 1/3 guff but undeniable proof that aliens are bad at CGI & you can always trust your local news affiliate.
Tonight:
SHEEP IN THE BOX sets itself up as AIR DOLL for grieving parents but unravels almost immediately, meandering its way through a series of poorly conceived ideas and undercooked themes before ending with an almighty shrug. Could this be Kore-eda’s worst film? Struggling to think of another this poor.
