...I'd be fired from a full-time game loc job in my first week after sassing the JPN team about their non-understanding of translation theory. freelance for life, baby. no healthcare yet moderate creative control till I die!! (from a preventable condition)
got two more for the autograph wall at Fan Expo Denver! big ones left: Liv Tyler (doable), Cate Blanchett (unlikely), Viggo (nigh impossible), Sean Bean (impossible)
also pleased with "for free" for 代償なし (spoiler for RuriDragon ch47 story content)
oh nice, this line survived 💀🏃
great artist alley in Denver, too

SCOOP: So remember Dialog, Peter Thiel's private society that doesn't have a public website and no public list of members? I (along with a number of other journalists) have just been tipped off that embedded in the code of their closed off website there IS what seems to be a list of some members.
the wall expands
the kind of bonkers choice (likely) hard-mandated by Japan that gives localizers hives how about a different, contextually apt American city name that hadn't been run through a woodchipper— ...Phoenix! ...Phoenixia/Phoenicia? Phoenixvania? Phoenixistan? www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
You may be wondering what is different about this train station monitor, but sometimes (often) manga loc is turning kunreishiki into hepburnshiki
