Some buildings in Miami are being evacuated after a magnitude-6.1 earthquake rocked off the coast of Cuba.
Elmo, the three-year-old (by canon) Sesame Street muppet, is being cyberbullied for encouraging the Knicks and the Spurs to "have fun" during the NBA Final, with many sports fans pointing out that his home is located on a street in Manhattan.
My text exchange with Brendan Carr was disclosed in a cache of records sent by the FCC to WIRED's Dell Cameron, @dell.bsky.social, in a similar FOIA request. They're available online via the FCC's Reading Room.

In case anyone doubted the authenticity of this exchange, following @brianstelter.bsky.social's outreach to Brendan Carr last year, it has now been confirmed in a FOIA lawsuit filed to overturn Carr's texts.
