Again, if anybody had thought to talk to the translators that were among the very first guinea pigs for much of the underlying technology and workflows for over a decade, we could've told you this is exactly what would happen to your productivity. But who needs to put a face to translation anyway? 🥴
So after SEGA threw Kamitani under the bus cause Unicorn Overlord came to Xbox over PC, Kamitani indirectly does the same thing to SEGA. Makes sense.
Very good point. Willing to bet it's because Snoop Dogg is well known within RGG's main target market (ie. the West), compared to a bunch of Japanese actors nobody knows anything about.
Case in point,, who outside Japan knew Kagawa exists before Kiwami 3?
Sony was really cutting off their own legs with this move, because in their own reports, China was a huge growth area for them, as well as South America, India and more regions where console adoption was low. You know who isn't pulling future console games off PC? Microsoft.
Thanks to restrictive import regulations, console gaming never took off in China the way PC and mobile have.
It would be lovely to see this localised alongside the first game.
