Every medical social worker, I have ever worked with has caused me harm.
They were NOT abused. They could use more services and the VA has more to offer. That is not NEGLECT to request help. Neglect is not requesting help. No idea what type of abuse the SW was reporting? The APS casework did not expand upon it. I do not ever want to see that SW again. I hate SW.
APS was angry when I told her that I requested more assistance with my father's care and the SW responded by telling me she is a mandated reporter and filing a report with APS and would not clarify her concerns! The APS caseworker reported that the SW has it backwards.
Requesting assistance is NOT abuse nor neglect. That APS works towards least restrictive environment. Aging at home is a goal. That the SW did everything backwards. APS met my parents and reported they have memory loss. They do. She said they did not require 24 hour care. They were NOT neglected
