SW: Your parents are not safe.
Me: I asked for help and instead of providing it, you are filing a report with APS?
SW: Your parents are not safe.

SW: You are not providing care for your parents.

SW: APS will do an investigation and decide best placement options.

APS was angry when I told her that I requested more assistance with my father's care and the SW responded by telling me she is a mandated reporter and filing a report with APS and would not clarify her concerns!
The APS caseworker reported that the SW has it backwards.
SW: APS will call you and conduct an investigation within the next 10 to 14 days.
Me: Why are you sending APS?
SW: I am a mandated reporter.
Me: I don't understand why you are contacting APS?
