Huge congratulations to the Magdalen Tennis Team. They beat St Peter’s College 5-4 in the Tennis Cuppers Final on Saturday to bring the cup home. What a brilliant way to wrap up the term. 📸 Thanks for the photo, Elizabeth! #TennisCuppers #OxfordSport
I'm on a roll with @magdalenoxford.bsky.social manuscripts. In the last few weeks, identified one book of hours as probably made for the future Suxtus IV, and in another ms an unnoticed copy of Richard Swineshead's Calculationes. Now onto this beauty, the last one needing a finalised description.
Magdalen College Women's First Eight rowing crew, relaxing in the Cloisters after a successful campaign, winning their blades. I know I've already posted about this. But I'm incredibly proud of them, and I love this picture.
Congratulations to Magdalen student Julian Kekulé, who has won the 2026 Chancellor's English Essay Prize. The judges praised his essay, 'That Fluttering Stranger', as a compelling, precise, and confident piece of work. Read the full story: english.web.ox.ac.uk/article/chan...
