Magdalen College Women's First Eight rowing crew, relaxing in the Cloisters after a successful campaign, winning their blades. I know I've already posted about this. But I'm incredibly proud of them, and I love this picture.

Huge congratulations to the Magdalen Tennis Team. They beat St Peter’s College 5-4 in the Tennis Cuppers Final on Saturday to bring the cup home. What a brilliant way to wrap up the term. 📸 Thanks for the photo, Elizabeth! #TennisCuppers #OxfordSport

Chancellor's English Essay Prize 2026 awarded to Julian Kekulé
To the very fine auditorium at @magdalenoxford.bsky.social for a talk on the Bayeux Tapestry by Professor Benjamin Pohl. Who commissioned it? Who was the intended audience? Where did it hang? Nobody took much notice of it for centuries at a time which perhaps explains its very good condition.

I'm on a roll with @magdalenoxford.bsky.social manuscripts. In the last few weeks, identified one book of hours as probably made for the future Suxtus IV, and in another ms an unnoticed copy of Richard Swineshead's Calculationes. Now onto this beauty, the last one needing a finalised description.
