fwiw my Obsession take: Excellent movie. A bit overhyped but you can't blame it for that. And it's clever and creepy but not particularly scary, as I'd been led to believe. For a movie with similar vibes but genuinely terrifying (and also, I think, better overall) go with Talk To Me

I'm sure Taylor would love to be the youngest EGOT winner ever but I don't think it's possible. She turns 38 in December and Robert Lopez got his at 39. Tay's only move here is to identify an next season Broadway sure-thing that needs a cash infusion and sign on as a producer.

I knew it, I knew that would be a good duet. But it does prove that Newman's voice is still plenty good, so the decision not to give him a song was almost certainly an Oscar play for Taylor. Which is fine. He doesn't need another one and now she'll just be one Tony away from an EGOT.
