I mean, I don’t agree with the death penalty and I don’t have a problem with this- but boy do I have a problem with knowing the trump admin is happily joyfully pro death penalty and they’re choosing not go after it here. I don’t want them to-but I don’t want them to for the right reasons.
This is just like authoritarian parenting. Oh did you just tell me no? Well no I’m going to beat your ass and you’re still going to do it anyway? And for every extra half hour you take to do it, you’re going to get ten more spankings! Etc.
This man was a garbage parent, a garbage spouse and is now a garbage businessman and a garbage president. And the entire authoritarian fundamentalist garbage ass movement is garbage pieces of shit.
Of course we’ll have to wait and see what is happening but my assumption is that if trump admin really cared about the lives of Melissa Hortman and her husband, theyd be pressuring hard for death penalty. The fact that they’re not says to me (yet again) they don’t give a fuck about the Hortmans.
