Stahlenhag's book feels very personal while also containing some of his best art to date.
And the Ries is a delight for anybody who likes creature art. Barlowe adjacent.

Last week we stayed in a cabin in the Sierra, down the road from where I grew up. Managed to time it with the last big storm of the season, but that also meant maximum greenery. Felt more like Cascadia than the central Sierra. Population 225, cell coverage 0%. Nice.

The Banks book is only for true Culture sickos though. The man couldn't draw, but it's interesting to see the scale and proportions of his universe as sketched.
