No bears sighted, but we did encounter deer and antelope (couldn't tell if they were playing, though also didn't hear any discouraging words).
Had a couple fantastic meals at the Sierra Pines Resort. Check 'em out if you find yourself in Sierra County (& worth the drive from Reno)
