I want alt foreground/background effects. Only way I can get the look of light hitting from in front or from behind, but that's a going to take some work to shoehorn that in.
Also I'm considering screenshake, but that's a whole other can of worms.

The logic of attacker/defender vs player/enemy is involves a fair bit of inverted inversions. I can place FX in front, between, or behind, and it mostly works but it's limited and has a number of tagged conditionals and anchors to work properly.
