A possible side effect of antipsychotics (aka neuroleptics, fka chemical lobotomies) is 'tardive dyskinesia', a similar thing of repeated involuntary movements.
One other similarity between Benadryl and most antipsychotics, is they both block histamine receptors. Is that the cause? I don't know.
