In a familiar story, a shuttered school campus in a suburban locale is set to give way to new housing.Villages at Fruit Street, a project from Lewis Homes, is slated for the former Lutheran High School campus located at 3960 Fruit Street in the City of La Verne. The San Gabriel Valley Regional Housing Trust (SGVRHT) has announced nearly $25 million in funding for the construction of for affordable housing developments in the communities of Montebello, San Gabriel, South Pasadena, and Alhambra.
