This 30-minute interview with Lucy Suchman is very thought-provoking
This is a great read
Cal Newport gives an excellent explanation of the measurement of improvement in AI-based coding tools.
At the end he says AI companies should reject hyperbolic claims about “existential AI risk”. I don’t think he gets that they love this stuff because it touts the supposed power of their products.
So much of AI-boosterism is just wildly enthusiastic extrapolation.
And that's a reckless way to make decisions.
I feel like in the last few months, the pushback against AI is really getting going.
Hallelujah!
