The Paladin character in this is amazing.
"Well, that's a little hurtful."
And you can tell the GM was getting increasingly fed up during the whole "speak with the dead" thing.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit! The whole "bridge over the lava in the Underdark" thing, I think, is my favorite bit so far.
His old "Star Wars Technical Commentaries" website was fun because it was just a nerdy-in-a-particular-way fansite that looked at Star Wars through a quirky lens you could take or leave. As soon as it became incorporated into "semi-official" works and became a canon bludgeon, it stopped being fun.
Finally watching the recent Dungeons and Dragons movie. It's the most Dungeons and Dragons thing I've ever seen. I've played actual sessions of Dungeons and Dragons that weren't as Dungeons and Dragons as the Dungeons and Dragons movie is.
Just started "Lucy Undying" by @kierstenwhite.bsky.social, and so far I'm really liking it. Snarky lesbians! Vampires! Told in an epistolary style, like Stoker's original! Giving some much needed depth and agency to a character generally dismissed as the Bimbo and/or Slut Victim in most adaptations!
"Dracula usually kept three brides, but they lost one in transit. I imagine she’s still wandering around Europe somewhere, trying to find her way to London. Or maybe I ended her existence at some point without realizing it. Doesn’t matter." At this point I was hooked. I hope it stays this good.
