I think you've missed the point. The impossibles are supposed to be as indistinguishable from beef as possible, to get people to switch. Veg burgers are, well, veg-y and very different. People don't care about the ingrey, but they care about the big taste differences.
And it's not like you can do a human rct ...
That's common in this genre. Compare measured levels to the lowest level any group ever has cited. My read of the titanium dioxide lit is that it's decidedly equivocal.
