Anyone who reads would tell you this is always the case but the book is almost certainly better here, from the snippets I've seen Jordan's prose is professional and the overall story isn't bad. I actually think the finale sequence of S01 where Rand chooses good is genuinely inspiring.

He's a young man who has faced all varieties of trauma and death and when given the option to remake the entire world centering himself and what he wants he doesn't just say "no that's wrong" he says "What about what *she* wants?" Love is about the person, not the carapice they occupy. Beautiful.
Perhaps the most prophetic sci-fi film of all time, 12 Monkeys is about a millennial who wishes it was the mid-90s again.
