You are far more likely to be killed by a car than a gun in America but find me a gov’t entity at the federal, state, or local levels which invests as much into mode shift or traffic safety as they do policing.
Feels important to remind #mapoli that police in this state are exempted from our gun laws for reasons of them being highly trained and super safe.
Alright mine is apparently extremely tame by comparison to some of the food extremists in the replies and quotes, but I'll share it anyway: fluffernutter frito sandwich on cinnamon swirl bread.
Saying, or at minimum implying, "hey republicans, so sorry I gotta argue for crackheads to have access to guns, you brought this on yourselves" just kinda ain't it.
This is a major win and long past due.
Would be great if ch 135 actually...did any of that. But it doesn't. It's more carceral bullshit, kicking the can down the road and, apparently, causing a lot of people I previously had a lot of respect for to thank the legislature for scraps instead of pushing for real change. #mapoli
If you're actively in the throes of chaotic use, yeah, not ideal. But the solution there is to treat the underlying issue. Don't want "crackheads" to have guns? Instead of focusing on taking the guns how about we devote our energy to improving material circumstances and preventing chaotic use?
