Back in 2021 I was just discovering Warblers were a thing, and in my first Spring having my eyes opened wide to the biodiversity in our school yard. I spotted 9 different species of Warbler that spring. Including this Tennessee Warbler.

Today's #Birdoftheday alt is my favourite #Fringillidae, the Evening Grosbeak. I was today years old when Iearned it wasn't part of the Cardinal family, and less related to Grosbeaks than finches.

Turns out I'm messed up the #BirdOfTheDay . I didn't realize #Nesting was to include the bird holding nesting materials. Here's a Chipping Sparrow doing just that. 🥰

Exactly what happened! 🤣 There was this stalk of uncut hay it was nestled behind. It seemed an odd place for snow to accumulate, and sure enough - it was an owl!
