Back in 2021 I was just discovering Warblers were a thing, and in my first Spring having my eyes opened wide to the biodiversity in our school yard. I spotted 9 different species of Warbler that spring. Including this Tennessee Warbler.

Today's #Birdoftheday alt is my favourite #Fringillidae, the Evening Grosbeak. I was today years old when Iearned it wasn't part of the Cardinal family, and less related to Grosbeaks than finches.

PSA- Let those dandelions grow! A few years ago I took a leave of absence to deal with the PTSD from 14yrs of inner city teaching, and years of government cutbacks. Birding is my medicine and the best therapy. This was my first sighting of an Indigo Bunting.

Turns out I'm messed up the #BirdOfTheDay . I didn't realize #Nesting was to include the bird holding nesting materials. Here's a Chipping Sparrow doing just that. 🥰
