I have often been critical of the leadership @aaas.org but they just took action on the new OMB rules that will politicize science, speaking out and notifying members. I hope all take the time to follow their advice, contact Congress, and most important, post a comment www.aaas.org/news/aaas-st...
NPR is comparing a trans woman fleeing Texas for her personal safety with a conservative fleeing Seattle because he was annoyed with his neighbors. This is honestly insane both sides framing to a degree that is just blatant lying by omission.

Across Sweden, moose traverse mountains, forests and marshes during their seasonal migrations. The most impressive movements may be those that swim between islands in the Baltic Sea! Check out the new maps in the Atlas to learn more about these swimming moose. @cms.int

"María" is harvesting strawberries in Oxnard CA. She earns CA min wage and works 7-8 hrs/day. She worries as the harvesting season is ending. It will be months until prep for the winter season begins and she has rent to pay. She'll have to look for work in other crops. #WeFeedYou

this is a story about a person who fled to seattle because their life was threatened because of who they are, the other a person who fled seattle because he was a selfish and entitled person who felt out of place these are not the same www.npr.org/2026/06/08/n...

Recent research suggests there's more going on with "ideological sorting" than simply moving to places that match one's politics. It's often one of many deciding factors, such as taxes or safety.

The red state, blue state divide is real. But it's driven by more than just politics
