The essence of all the Russia stuff from the first campaign and first term was that Trump was an insider threat to the US, NATO, the UN, etc.—a manifest danger to the whole complex of post-WWII arrangements to defend free societies, stave off world wars, and advance the cause of human rights.
this is how cascades happen. It took a while, a lot of abuse, and then an incredibly poorly planned war that Trump now wants to dump in their laps. It is going to get much harder for the US to operate in the Mideast without European bases and airspace. 1/2
Amazingly the Hegseth-picked press isn’t asking him tough questions in an attempt to hold his feet to the fire, hold power accountable, and inform the public. They’re asking these basic questions because they assume Hegseth knows what he’s doing, is succeeding, and will therefore have good answers.

Now France is denying airspace…

Continue to be amazed that Hegseth's hand-picked press corps asks basic, tough questions about the war (that he can't answer). We are so far beyond "you know this war is bad because John Bolton is against it."
