In Gran Canaria, Pope Leo met migrants and those who accompany them on one of the world’s deadliest routes — calling for compassion, responsibility and safe pathways.
At JRS UK, we see this dignity every day in the people we walk alongside.
We're alarmed by the government’s proposed asylum support reforms & their impact on stateless people, who are already disproportionately trapped in destitution & legal limbo.

At least 64 of these either have subsequently been found to be children by local authorities or are pending further inquiries
The UK Government recently proposed starting forced removals to the Democratic Republic of Congo, despite a reported increase in human rights violations.
These removals are happening in a context where people cannot access legal representation.
