April Fool's Day is like conspiracy theories. Some (not all) were kind of fun and harmless once, but I have no patience for them now that the world has changed to accommodate them. I'd love to go back to a time when I can enjoy a little fun misinformation, but that time is a long way off.

This summer and fall in the American West absolutely terrify me, both for the physical conditions of heat and drought and the political layer of incompetence and negligent malice toward our west coast states. We are looking down the barrel and we know it in March. It doesn't feel great.
