Yeah, the surgery has taken quite a toll on her but she seems quite chipper otherwise!

My guess is that Jabba just bought this as a pleasure yacht (which it is), and then just went 'I want a big shiny cannon on top. No, I don't care whether it's impractical, just do it.'
