I think Who writers struggled with Martha Jones for this reason -- she was introduced as brave, open-minded, and mature, already an ideal companion, which left the character nowhere to go.
I have it. John Wick is dull for several reasons, but chiefly because Wick is essentially infallible and invulnerable. No problems, no failures, no mistakes, no setbacks -- none of the stuff you build a story from. For a great ultraviolent gangster movie, give A Bittersweet Life (2005) a go.

DNF. What a waste of five bucks. Now I'll never know how his dead wife sent him a present.
I guess Wick shoots everybody because Reeves can't do martial arts / wirework
Great -- figures in black fighting in the dark. Why is everything dark green? Was this movie shot in a gallbladder?
