Views from Balbriggan Beach this evening. Lovely clouds and reflections. #balbrigganlighthouse #balbrigganharbour #cloudreflections #dublin #ireland
Oyster Island Lighthouse sits just off the coast of Rosses Point, Co. Sligo. The Metal Man, a 12-foot cast-iron sailor designed by sculptor Thomas Kirk and cast in 1819, was erected on Perch Rock in 1821. Together, the two lights align to mark the safe channel into Sligo Harbour.
Moody skies over the Baldoyle Estuary, looking across at the iconic Portmarnock Golf Club clubhouse which dates back to 1894. Love how the red roofs stand out against that dramatic sky. #portmarnock #portmarnockgolfclub #baldoyleestuary #dublincoast #discoverireland
Last year's Strawberry Moon taking a gander up the slopes of Slieve Donard, Mourne Mountains. The plan had been to photograph the moon rising over St. John’s Point Lighthouse but the clouds on the horizon had other ideas. So I was delighted to spot it on the way home.
Caught this lovely burst of color slicing right through the industrial skyline of Greenore Port this afternoon. Shot from Carlingford looking out across the lough. Nature putting on a show! #CarlingfordLough #GreenorePort #CooleyPeninsula #DiscoverIreland #RainbowMagic
A lovely memory from a kayak around Ireland’s Eye, Howth, on this day 2023. It was great to paddle alongside Ireland’s sole surviving ocean-going wooden sailing ship A. K. Ilen (the A. K. stands for Auxiliary Ketch), as she approached Howth Harbour. #dublinbay #howthharbour #discoverireland
Foley’s Bridge was built in 1787 and named in honour of Harriot Foley. Its stone arch design built with local stone integrates perfectly with the landscape - you can see why it was one of the areas of the forest park used as a backdrop in HBO's Game of Thrones. #foleysbridge #tollymoreforestpark
World Ocean Day 2026 The theme is “Reimagine” - a powerful call to shift our perspective and transform how we protect our oceans and planet. The ocean covers more than 70% of the Earth and generates over half of the oxygen we breathe. #worldoceanday #reimagine #saveourseas
A lovely visit to Tollymore Forest Park, Co. Down yesterday. The Shimna was in full flow after recent rainfall, the last of the rhododendrons were still in bloom and the lush greens and dew provided some lovely scenes. There was definitely no walking over the stepping stones! 🎹 ‘My Lagan Love’.
