It's the same almost any time you spot hypocrisy from centrists or right-wingers in power.
We must go beyond "I don't know whether you noticed, but this is hypocrisy" and straight to "what present and future action is this deliberate hypocrisy intended to justify?", then sound the alarm right away.
As someone tired with coverage of Sudan lamenting the lack of reporting while being itself surface-level and occasional, this is much more comprehensive and *explains* much more, while still easily accessible for the uninitiated.

This has been going at least two years, in its current form. I think it’s clear that if they were going to take some kind of meaningful action against it, then they would’ve done it by now.

Starmer’s X account found time to call the original knife attack “sickening” and to say he had “no tolerance” for it (in case you thought he did), but he’s made no comment there about mobs of racists driving people from their homes, bar RTing a watery “legitimate concerns but” post by Hilary Benn
Trump: "Israel's fighting Hezbollah too long and too many people are being killed. And you don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody. Because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses. And they're not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you."
English law is not my forte but “causing annoyance” does not suggest “threats and abuse”, to me. Perhaps we need a new offence of “badgering your MP about things he finds silly and tiresome”.
